Member Admissions

No, a secondary member is not required. If you list two names, both names will show on your membership card and the second cardholder is able to visit on their own and use the membership. If both named members are visiting with guests, you must provide guest passes for your guests or purchase admission tickets.

A Friends membership is for 4 adults (one of whom must be named) and 8 children under the age of 18.

A Family membership is for 2 adults (one of whom must be named) and 6 children under the age of 18.

Children ages 3 and under receive free admission to the Garden.

Memberships are designed to cover one family in the same household. Groups or organizations (such as scout groups, schools, etc.) are not included.

Memberships at the Garden Keeper (beginning at $500) and Conservatory Circle (beginning at $5,000) levels allow a deeper level of engagement and provide necessary financial support for the Garden’s educational mission. In addition to admission benefits for 6 adults and 10 children, members receive invitations to exclusive Garden events throughout the year and recognition in the Garden’s Annual Report.

Please visit our website to learn more about donating to our annual fund.

If you have a Family or higher membership level, your caregiver may accompany your children in place of the adult(s) named on the membership. Just give your membership card to the caregiver.

Caregivers cannot visit the Garden without the member’s children unless they are named as a secondary membership on your membership.

Digital Membership Cards FAQs

Digital membership cards can be downloaded and saved to smartphones or tablets using a digital wallet app. By using a digital card you are making an active impact on the environment, gaining easy access to your membership benefits, and helping us better serve members like you. Digital membership cards also reduce the costs associated with printing and mailing physical cards.

All active members should have received an email from Cuseum, our digital membership card provider, on 4/17/2024 with instructions on downloading your digital membership card.

If you joined or rejoined as a member after 4/17/2024, your digital membership card installation email will be sent to the primary email on your membership record within one month of joining as a member. In the meantime, you are welcome to use your confirmation email as a temporary membership card, or give your name when you visit the Garden to redeem your member benefits.

All memberships receive one digital membership card that lists both member names. You can send the digital membership card to your second cardholder directly from your wallet app, or you can forward your initial installation email to them so they can have a copy for themselves.

When you renew your membership, you do not need to re-install your membership card. The card you already installed will update with any new information.

Please allow 2 business days for your digital membership card to update with your new expiration date. If your expiration date does not change after 2 business days, please contact us at [email protected] for assistance.

When you check in at the Garden, simply show your digital membership card to our Guest Services staff and they will scan the card to check you in for your visit.

If you are unable to show your digital membership card when you check-in at the Garden, our Guest Services staff will be happy to look you up by name to check you in for your visit.

If you need to update any information on your card, please contact us at [email protected] or 804.262.9887 ext.338.

We are happy to print and mail physical membership cards by requests to those who need them. Please reach out to [email protected] or 804.262.9887 ext.338 to submit your request for a physical membership card.

Yes, please contact us at [email protected] or 804.262.9887 ext.338 to have the digital membership card installation email resent to you.
