Storytime is taking a seasonal break – stay tuned for the return dates in 2025!
A Big Thank You to all who joined us for Storytime at The Lora M. Robins Library this year! Keep reading until then, the Children’s section has lots of great books that members can check out for 4 weeks.
STORYTIME
IN THE GARDEN
Gather with us for Storytime under the Cup Oak trees outside the Kelly Education Center each Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m. through Saturday, November 2, 2024. Children can also participate in a craft or hands-on activity. (Weather permitting; indoor location is the Library). Feel free to bring a blanket, or use the cushions (limited availability) provided by the Library, as we enjoy the beauty of the Garden. Included in regular Garden admission; free for members.
EDUCATIONAL AND ENTERTAINING
STORIES
First up, we’ll read our favorite books about plants, nature, and maybe sign some rhymes! We have a variety of storytellers that are eager to share their favorites with you.
MAKE ART
WITH THE FAMILY
Next, join us for a craft activity in the Library that everyone can enjoy. At past Storytimes, we’ve made turtles, flowers, and bears using a variety of materials like colored paper and paper bags.
Explore the Garden
Looking for more family activities? You’ll find them in the Children’s Garden. Explore the Klaus Family Tree House for a birds-eye view; visit the Carriage House to draw with sidewalk chalk, hula hoop, and build with blocks; climb a 100-year-old mulberry tree and much, much more. The Garden is the perfect setting for a family outing! If anyone gets hungry, don’t forget to visit the Garden Cafe for lunch (check out the new spring menu) and the Garden Shop for the latest spring merchandise.
