The Latin Ballet of Virginia presents MILAGROS, a performing arts interpretation of the acclaimed novel MILAGROS: Girl from Away authored by Meg Medina, NYT Bestselling Author, Newbery Medalist, and National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature 2023-24.
This performance is based on the story of a young girl who uncovers the true meaning of family, the significance of identity, and, most important, the power of a mother’s love. The family-friendly showcase will highlight their students and be performed by the school of the Latin Ballet, the Junior Company and Faculty!
We are thrilled to announce that Meg Medina, esteemed author of MILAGROS: Girl from Away and the Merci Suárez series, will be present at this performance! She will host a Q&A and book signing after the show!
Don’t forget to stop by the Book People bookstore table, where they will be selling other titles by Meg Medina from 3:30-8:30 p.m.
This performance is a part of the Lewis Ginter’s Extended Evenings Event Series, where the Garden will stay open to visitors until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays through early fall 2024. Picnic fare and grab-and-go dinner options will be available for purchase near the performance!
This event is included with Garden admission.
