BOUQUET WORKSHOP

In this workshop, learn the step-by-step process of creating a free-flowing, organic-style bouquet, paying special attention to shape and movement. Design your bouquet using the best locally grown blooms and foliage available. Instructor Svetlana Green will share helpful tips and tricks on flower handling and care, choosing a color palette, and creating a well-rounded design. You’ll leave this class with the basics of floral design mastered and a gorgeous hand-tied bouquet to carry home and enjoy!

Fees: Member $70, Non-Member $84

*This class offers 2 hours of elective credit toward the Garden Education Series: Floral Design Certificate. Non-certificate students are welcome. All levels welcome.

Svetlana Green Hand-Tied Bouquet WorkshopAbout the instructor

Svetlana Green is the owner and head designer at Rushing Blooms Floral Studio. It is located in the Arts District of downtown Richmond and offers sustainable and unique flower design for any occasion and custom floral work for special events. Svetlana sources most of her flowers locally from River City Flower Exchange, the first Virgnia flower farm co-cop. Svetlana has also been experimenting with drying different varieties of locally grown blooms and foliage for the past four years and has an extensive collection of preserved flowers at her studio, which she uses to create bouquets, centerpieces, wreaths and floral installations.
