FALL PRUNING
FOR SMALL LANDSCAPE TREES AND SHRUBS

A crash course on how to prune shrubs and small trees for strong structure and optimal health. Instructor Leah Purdy, will show you the basic “rules” of structural pruning, appropriate pruning seasons for various trees and shrubs, and demonstrate pruning techniques. Bring questions about personal pruning problems.

Our Garden continues to follow CDC recommendations and state guidelines for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Properly worn masks are required for indoor class participants regardless of vaccination status. Non-vaccinated participants are also required to wear masks when outdoors and unable to maintain 6 feet of social distancing. The Garden reserves the right to implement additional safety measures. Any updates will be communicated prior to class, if possible.

About the Instructor

Leah Purdy is a horticulturist whose work experience includes the Temple University Arboretum and Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. She is a graduate of Temple University in landscape architecture and is currently in the master’s program for Natural Resource Stewardship at Colorado University
