During this event, you’ll: • Explore Dia de los Muertos Art: Discover the symbolism and themes of Day of the Dead as you learn to paint prints that reflect its colorful and lively spirit. • Guided Painting Session: Receive step-by-step guidance from our talented instructors on painting your own Dia de los Muertos-inspired prints. Learn techniques to capture intricate designs and vibrant colors. • Enjoy Wine and Socialize: Sip on delicious wine, enjoy cheese and crackers, as you mingle with friends and fellow art enthusiasts. Share stories, laughter, and cultural insights in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re honoring loved ones or simply fascinated by the beauty of Dia de los Muertos, this event promises to blend creativity with cultural appreciation. Michelle IsraelAbout the Instructor

Michelle Israel grew up in the bustling heart of Mexico City, a place renowned for its vibrant art scene and rich cultural heritage, where she developed an early appreciation for creativity in all its forms. From a young age, she eagerly attended art school, and her passion for self-expression blossomed.

Later, throughout her formative years, Michelle immersed herself in the study of Graphic Design, Visual Arts, and Art History, which allowed her to understand the techniques and narratives that have shaped the art world. Her teaching experience expanded when she moved to Richmond, where she began teaching Art, Yoga, and Spanish, both privately and in various school settings.

With her diverse life experiences, Michelle has explored the connection between her art and her love for nature and the intangible.
