Ginter Gallery II Exhibition Features Porcelain Butterflies by NYC Artist
by Phyllis Laslett, Adult Education Coordinator, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
Porcelain butterflies by New York City artist Nancy Blum flutter on the walls of Ginter Gallery II in the Education and Library Complex, inspired by the artist’s visit to Butterflies LIVE! in 2009. Thanks to Erica Borey, museum studies intern, who installed the artwork, and librarian Janet Woody for the photograph. The faint pink flush you see on the walls is from the vividly painted reverse side of each piece.
