Pop-up LEGO® Bricks Sculpture: Bicycle Triumphs Traffic

See artist Sean Kenney’s work with this bike-themed sculpture on display at the Garden throughout September in celebration of the UCI Road World Cycling Championships. Kenney’s award-winning Nature Connects: Art with LEGO® Bricks  comes to the Garden in 2016.

Visitors can stroll 50 acres of year-round beauty and step back in time to explore the property’s origins as a 19th century bicycle club. Lewis Ginter, a Major in the Civil War and Richmond’s “gilded age icon” built the Lakeside Wheel Club in the late 1800s; the building is still in use today.  The Garden has been recognized as one of the “Top 10 North American Gardens Worth Travelling For” (BBC Travel) and the second best public garden in North America (USA Today).
