Our current exhibit is HABITATS. In keeping with the mission of the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, our work celebrates the diversity of the natural world, especially the variety of shelters that nature provides for all species.

Please enjoy our fresh interpretations of flora and fauna, at home on land and sea, all portrayed in the surprising medium of textile art.

Event Details

The Fiber & Stitch Art Collective comprises a group of Central Virginia artists, based in Charlottesville, who share a love of textile art and enjoy pushing the boundaries of quilting as a contemporary art form.

The group was founded in 2017 by the late Jane Fellows, whose energy and delight in creative experimentation attracted a dedicated group of art quilters eager to share their work with the public.

Now a group of 25, FSAC meets monthly to educate, critique, support, and encourage. We exhibit regularly in the Charlottesville area and beyond, with past shows at the University of Virginia, the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival, the Houston International Quilt Festival, the Virginia Quilt Museum, and Piedmont Arts in Martinsville.
