MAKER NIGHT: LOCALLY GROWN
DRIED FLOWER WREATH WORKSHOP

Create a one-of-a-kind dried flower wreath to showcase your creativity and add seasonal flair to your fall or holiday decor, all while supporting a local flower farm. Designer Conner Parrish of Blossoming Roots Flower Farm will guide you in using dried flower material from the farm to create a base wreath on a grapevine form. You’ll add a variety of distinct dried flowers harvested from the farm and various seasonal decorations. This fun and festive maker night will be hosted at the Garden’s Cafe. We’ll have cookies, hot cider and hot chocolate available (included) to snack on while you work on your wreath. Additional food and drink, including beer and wine, will be available for purchase throughout the workshop at the Garden Cafe.

Hurry—the first two wreath workshops we offered for Fall 2023 sold out almost immediately, so we added two more wreath workshop opportunities. Reserve your space soon, as we expect these workshops to sell out too!

All programs are subject to change.

All dried floral materials will be provided. The Garden will provide a selection of seasonal decorations that you can add to your wreath design. The majority of provided decorations will be holiday-themed, so if you are interested in a fall or other theme for your wreath, it is recommended that you bring any desired decorations (such as ribbon, bows or other decor) with you to the workshop.

Conner ParrishAbout the Instructor

Conner Parrish owns Blossoming Roots Farm and Supply in Ashland, Virginia. Blossoming Roots is a local cut flower farm with a mission to protect and nurture the environment around us! Conner has always been a nature lover and started down this path after the sudden loss of his father at an early age. He quickly realized nature is what grounded him and after becoming a beekeeper in college, he began to understand the therapeutic benefits it cultivated within him. Flower farming naturally entered the picture after he was planting them to feed his bees. Fast forward to today and he owns a cut flower farm that donates a portion of profit to pollinator conservation each month! He is finally living the dream and helping the world be a better place.
