So much more than tacos and burritos, authentic Mexican cuisine has a rich and complex history with wonderful regional variety. Learn about the delights of the cuisine of Mexico with Executive Chef Anne Maury Haapala as she demonstrates how home chefs can create regional favorites at home using tried and true techniques and fresh ingredients.  Demonstration is followed by a delicious dinner featuring some of the recipes demonstrated along with an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage depending on your preference.

Bites Around the World: Spain with Chef AnneChef Anne Maury Haapala

Chef Anne is the Executive Chef for the Garden’s caterer, Meriwether-Godsey.  She has a degree in hospitality and tourism from Virginia Tech and studied Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
