Help us celebrate Origami in the Garden and the end of summer with a special presentation of “Kubo and the Two Strings” in the Cochrane Rose Garden on Thursday, August 30 (only) at 8 p.m. during Flowers After 5. The Garden is open until 10 p.m. during Flowers After 5 on this night only.

Plus, join RVA Origami for a folding meet up before the movie, look for them in the Library from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
*Snacks will be available for purchase through Meriwether Godsey until 9 p.m. Outside food and beverages strictly prohibited.
*Find a spot on the terraced lawn in front of the Rose Garden to enjoy the movie. Blankets and chairs welcome! Limited blankets available for the lawn on first come first served basis. If it rains the movie will be shown in the Kelly Education Center Auditorium.
If there is a chance of inclement weather (rain, thunderstorms or wind), we will move the event indoors to the Kelly Education Center auditorium. Indoors, the movie will start promptly at 8 p.m. The decision to move indoors will be made by 2 p.m. and announced on the website and Facebook.
Kubo and The Two Strings is a stop-motion fantasy action-adventure film. (Rated PG for thematic elements, scary images, action, and peril). Runtime is 1 hour, 41 minutes.
